My love of watercolour painting first began in 2020, not long after the birth of my son. Experiencing new motherhood in the pandemic era, I needed to absorb myself in something creative that brought me a sense of self. I found a mini watercolour set in a drawer and was immediately hooked with the creative magic of playing with paint and water and colour mixing. I began by making lots of messes without the pressure of it needing to mean anything, gradually trying new papers, brushes, subjects and styles.

I am still enjoying figuring out what I really like to paint and which aspects of myself I want to represent through artwork. I have learnt so much about how to use my art materials from the focus I've had in my work to date, centred around florals and landscapes.

I've created prints and greeting cards with my original designs hand-painted in watercolour, gouache, pastels and other mixed media art materials in my cosy home studio in Liverpool, UK.

Sustainability is important to me. I use UK based, environmentally conscious companies and sustainably sourced papers with beautiful textures and quality. I strive to create a small business that brings me joy to work in day to day.
